Rosehill M.B. Church - Munich, ND (Negative included)

This is a photo of a group of people (men women and children) posing for a photo outside the Rosehill Mennonite Brethren church in Munich, North Dakota. The Rosehill Mennonite Brethren church in Munich North Dakota typically gathered for two large church celebrations a year, which of course included a meal. These events included July 4 which was Kinderfest or children’s day and the other was known as Harvest Missions. The church had a separate cooking building or shack to prepare the meals. Notice the white aprons being worn by some of the men standing in the photo as they are the ones preparing the food.

Elizabeth M. Yoder Woodiwiss Papers

This collection chronicles the early life of Elizabeth M. Yoder Woodiwiss (1889-1986), who homesteaded in North Dakota from 1907-1910. Her diaries (photocopies of originals) record her experiences as a homesteader, as well as a few years after she returned to Pennsylvania.  Articles about Elizabeth are also in the collection, alongside her own recollections. There are also photographs depicting her as a homesteader and later in life, as well as photographs of the homesteading community.

Eszlinger Reunion Esslinger

This is a photo of the flower arrangement at the Memorial Service for grandparents Esslinger. There is a circle made of flowers with a line of flowers across the top portion of the hoop with two yellow ribbons going off this line. There is a ribbon going down the middle of the hoop the says Esslinger. There is a pulpit to the left that says "Europa to America 1844, 1980." See volume 1231, binder 17, pg 31.

This is a photo of the sign for the Eszlinger Reunion Esslinger on July 12 - July 13. It advertizes registration and coffee hour, banquet and program, family worship service and noon meal. There are vines drawn on the bottom two corners. See volume 1231, binder 17, pg 28.

This is a photo of a old building beside a railway track. The house was painted light at one point, but has lost much of its paint. There is a car parked by the house on the other side of the railway tracks. There is green grass and large leafed out trees in the background.

Eszlinger Reunion Esslinger - graveyard

This is a photo of Mother Horch's Brothers gravestone. The stone says "Salomon 1877 - " The last date is blocked by a bouquet of peach flowers. There is a shadow of someone taking the picture on the right of the photo. See volume 1231, binder 17, pg 32.
