Left to right: Three unknown "gypsies," Henry Doell, Maria Harms nee Doell. Abe Harms, Agatha Harms nee Doell, Peter Harms, George Harms, Isaac Harms, unknown, Judith Harms (Penner), Wilhelm Harms. Agatha and Maria are sisters and Abe, Peter, George and Isaac are sons of Wilhelm Harms (1842) and Judith (nee Penner). Maria Doell is holding a young child. In front of Henry Doell is a baby carriage with a young child and another child is standing beside the carriage. Agatha is also holding a young child in her arms and a boy is standing beside her.

Thiessen Home

The home of the Thiessen's. The large home on the right was used as Dr. Katharina Thiessen's nursing home where she had a pharmacy and could keep patients overnight. The house was situated on 6th street in Winkler, Manitoba. In this photograph, the Thiessen's are standing on their lawn.

She was married to Abram Peters 6 Feb 1860. He was born 8 Feb 1832 , died 11 April 1894. Katharina's parents were Jacob Lehn b. 24 Apr 1812, died 23 Nov 1872 and Anna Janzen b. 15 Oct 1815, died Dec 1889. Jacob and Anna were married 20 Oct 1835.
