Harvest time at the South German Mennonite Relief center

This is a photo of three women and three men with their sheaves and scythes (scythe) standing in a grain field. This harvest supported the relief effort project called Mennonitisches Hilfswerk Christenpflicht, headed by Michael Horsch, the elder of the Ingolstadt congregation in Germany. This photo is part of the Hellmansberg estate Kösching, Bavaria, Germany.

This is a photo of the treed yard, gazebo and Koop house in Schoenwiese, Russia, which served as office for the American Mennonite Relief workers. Caption in back of faded copy of picture: "Our present office, from the rear. The street is just beyond the gate at the end of the drive. It was a lovely place, and could be made nice again."
