This small collection was created by Peter Yoder, the grandfather or Walter E. Yoder,  THe account book provides a record of the settling of family estates, sales of goods, loans, and monetary transactions performed on behalf of others.  The remedy book contains instructions for treating various human and animal maladies as well as recipes for tanning leather, making cement, etc.

Jacob Krehbiel was a Mennonite immigrant from Pfrimmerhof (Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany) who immigrated to New York in 1831.  This photocopy of a document in German script documents financial transaction in relation to an inheritance [payment of inheritance tax?] in Germany.

A photocopy of [a portion of?] a French census of Anabaptists in Villé, Alsace that lists heads of household and their ages and birthplaces, family members' names and ages, and general observations about the Anabaptist population. Ancestors of Christian Reber (1784-1848) appear to be among the 16 families listed.

Also present in the folder is a biographical sketch of Reber, a photocopy of a German document dated 1542, and an article about the 1780 census.  A photocopy of Reber's passport should be in this folder as well, but is missing as of 06/11/2013.
