This item is a studio photo of Abram Dyck with his new wife Helena Epp. They are sitting on chairs in front of a backdrop. They are well-dressed in dark clothing with Helena wearing a head covering and Abram a 3-piece suit.. The photo was send to Abram's son, Abram Dyck in Didsbury, Alberta, who immigrated to Canada around 1890. Abram's first wife and mother of Abram A. Dyck (1867-1945) of Didsbury, was Susanna Wall (1845-1885?).

This photo shows a 2-horse drawn carriage with the open casket bearing Maria Albrecht (1887-1910) to the cemetery for burial. Two men are holding the horses, 7 men are standing beside the carriage, and Margarete (Walde) Albrecht, mother of the deceased is standing in the background at the far left of the photo. Wilhelm Janzen

This item consists of a copy of Photo 660:13 with an additional photograph glued to the top left corner of a much older photo of Wilhelm Janzen b. 15. Feb. 1907. Peter D. Albright received this photo from his aunt Elizabeth (Albrecht) Janzen's estate. Could Wilhelm Janzen have been a brother of her husband, Heinrich Janzen (d. 1987)?

The note on the reverse in German reads: "These are all Mennonites, only J.'s two sons are missing from the photo -- Heinrich was taking the photo and the other one was at work. The one that is laughing is from __. I always say they are standing there like delegates. This is how our barracks look, _____, covering in snow. Johann, you will recognize."
