A creative, literary autobiography by Delbert Plett in seven parts (29 typed pages). Much of the document is verse or experimental prose. Contains (in Part 3) Delbert's 1969 application for a university scholarship and his 1984 request to the Ridgewood Evangelical Mennonite Church to withdraw its excommunication of him. Plett Fiction: The Golden Parrot

Unfinished early draft of a novel by Delbert Plett, titled "The Golden Parrot," including an outline of the main plot and a description of the main characters. Plett writes: "'The Golden Parrot' is the working title for a novel about a Latin American adventure set in the Yucatan Peninsula of Belize and Mexico." The draft is only eight pages long, plus some other brief scenes. Includes also workshopping Delbert did for the novel in a creative writing class.
