Cornelius M. Driedger saws wood

In 1917 Cornelius Driedger purchased a Model T Ford and so between 1917 and 1925? he designed a unique method to power the saw. Cornelius is Leo Driedger's father. Cornelius can be seen here leaning against his car.

Nuenlage Old Colony Mennonite Church Interior

Leo Driedger collected photos and stories for his M.A. thesis on old colony Mennonites published in 1956 at the University of Chicago. This photo shows benches with no leans, a pulpit in the front middle, flanked by benches with leans for Vorsaenger and ministers. Notice the overhead structure for men to hang their hats.

A friend of Cornelius Driedger, J.J. Ediger, living in Drake invites Cornelius with his new car "to fill her up with shorts and come to Drake... and to the Lake". Cornelius is studying at German-English Academy in Rosthern. Cornelius would become father to Leo Driedger in 1928.
