The Rosehill Mennonite Brethren church in Munich North Dakota typically gathered for two large church celebrations a year, which of course included a meal. These events included July 4 which was Kinderfest or children’s day and the other was known as Harvest Missions. The church had a separate cooking building or shack to prepare the meals. Notice the white aprons being worn by some of the men standing in the photo as they are the ones preparing the food.
