Photographs

This series consists of 71 photographs taken in India that record the devastation caused by famine, earthquakes, and plauge, as well as the relief work done by the Home and Foreign Relief Commission and other mission workers. Some of the photos were eventually published in George Lambert's books on the famine in India.

Miscellaneous Materials

Includes a financial ledger (1903-1920), records of Hallman's teaching at Hesston Bible College, materials on the Martin-Hallman Clothing Company, photographs of Daniel Kauffman and T. K. Hershey, and other miscellaneous materials.

Diaries

Brief daily entries for the following years: 1898-1903, 1905-1906, 1910-1913, 1915-1930, 1932-1936, 1937-1956. ANother author continued Hallman's diary after his death.

Correspondence

Incoming and outgoing personal, professional, and pastoral correspondence. Contains a good deal of friendly correspondence with Pennsylvania Mennonites, Also includes a lot of correspondence regarding mission business and tracts. Mininger's correspondence with and about religious conscientious objectors in World War I is particularly significant. Correspondence is largely arranged chronologically. Correspondence arranged by correspondents' names may be found at the end of the series.

Subject Files

Clippings, notes, reports, and other reference matertials kept by Mininger. Also includes a lot of inspirational poetry collected by Mininger. It is unclear whether Mininger authored any of the poems. The subject files are organized alphabetically by topic. Researchers should note that folder numbers are not accurate in this series.

Sermons and Articles

A small set of writings by Mininger, some of which address urban mission work and his pastoral work with conscientious objectors imprisoned at Fort Leavenworth during World War I. The sermons and articles are organized alphabetically by title or topic.

Miscellaneous Materials

This series contains very similar materials to Series 3: Subject Files, but also includes administrative materials pertaining to the Mennonite Gospel Mission in Kansas City, and a brief biography of Hettie Kulp Mininger by Russell Krabill (written in 1991). Also includes photographs of J. D. and Hettie Mininger (primarily of Hettie Mininger).

Diaries

Diaries and databooks kept by T. K. Hershey. Entries are fairly descriptive and discuss Hershey's daily appointments and activities. This series includes special diaries kept during trips. Researchers should note that there are gaps in this series.
