The personal papers of a Goshen College faculty member who taught in the history department. The collection is divided into series: 1) Historical Documents, 1849, 1907-1971; 2) Publications, 1971-2008; 3) Teaching Records, 1971-1998; 4) Mennonite Experience in America Project Material, 1975-1995; 5) Miscellaneous Papers, 1957-1999.

The personal papers of a long term former Goshen College faculty member who taught in the Home Economics Department. Included are minutes and correspondence of the Home Economics Department, as well as personal diaries, photographs and correspondence.

A small set of personal papers created by a Mennonite composer, arranger, and professor of music at Goshen College.  Materials include a number of original musical compositions and arrangements, an autobiographical sketch, correspondence, conference programs and notes, various writings, and miscellaneous materials.

A small set of personal papers of the wife of Mennonite leader Harold Stauffer Bender.  Includes correspondence, an autobiographical essay, examples of Elizabeth Horsch Bender's German translations, materials from her memorial service, and a Goshen College senior seminar paper about Bender.

A small set of personal papers belonging to a Goshen College professor of commerce who taught typing, shorthand, and consumer advocacy.  Includes information on the history of the Goshen College Business Dept. and several student papers on the spending and shopping  habits of Goshen College students from the mid 1960s through the mid 1970s.

Personal papers of a Mennonite composer, compiler of hymn, singing school instructor, and professor of music.  Materials include Brunk's musical compositions and documents pertaining to his published hymn books, educational records, employment records, and miscellaneous materials.

A small set of papers, ephemera, and photographs pertaining to Byers's work at Goshen College, where he served as president from 1903 to 1913.

A scrapbook of correspondence from former students presented to Verna Zimmerman, associate professor of nursing at Goshen College, on the occasion of her retirement.  Zimmerman served the college from 1952 to 1975.

The records of the Centennial Committee were deposited into the Archives by Dan Hess, Chair, in 1995. The records of the Hospital Study Committee, Administrative Committee, and Religious Life Committee were cataloged in 1985, as were the other eight committees from .6 Vesper Committee, 1936, through to .13 Mission of the College Committee, 1986-77. Walter Smucker added three financial files to the Committee on Induction in 1987. The records of various building committees were collected by the Archives over the years. Dormitory Building Min., 1949-54, were deposited into the Archives by C. L. Graber. The tile from the Science Building was transferred by Mardene Kelley in 1994.

Chapel and Convocation programs gather the Goshen College campus community together for shared learning experiences and for worship.   Chapel and convocation convene weekly at Goshen College during the academic year.  Speakers may be faculty, students, of campus guests.

This series primarily contains sound recordings of the lectures and cultural programs presented at the Goshen College Chapel and Convocation.  Most of the recordings are cassette tapes; since 2008, recordings are CDs.  There are very few recordings prior to 1990.  The series also includes five transcripts of lectures presented in the 1960s.

The collection consists primarily of correspondence concerning "A Crisis Among Mennonites: in Education: in Publication" by George R. Brunk  II (1983), political and social issues, and his work with Goshen College and the Mennonite Board of Congregational Ministries.  Also included in the collection is a diary of his experiences in 2008 as Interim Lead Pastor at First Mennonite Church in Berne, Ind. and sound recordings of a six sermon series preached at College Mennonite Church (Goshen, Ind.) in 1986.
