This photo is of the group of seven young Lengua males that were the first Indigenous people to be baptized by Mennonite missionaries in the Paraguayan Chaco in February of 1946.

This photo is of a group of young Aboriginal men getting baptized in a lagune in the Paraguayan Chaco. Notice that the baptism service is led by Aboriginals. The first Aboriginal preacher to be ordained in the Paraguayan Chaco was Sepe Lhama in 1976. Used in the book" Garden in the Wilderness", by Edgar Stoesz p. 120.

This photo is of the 1945 baptismal group from the Bethel Mission church (later Bethel Mennonite church), Winnipeg Sargent and Sherbrook. There are about 20 young people are standing on the front steps with 2 older men with them. The older men from left to right are Benjamin Ewert and I.I. Friesen. See MH XIV, #4 (December 1988, p.8).

Baptism class of Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church taken 25. Jun 1950 at CMBC. Aelt. G. G. Epp performed the baptism. There were 9 baptism candidates, 6 women and 3 men.

Baptism class 1 July 1952 at the "Missionskirche" corner of Sargent and Furby. With Aelt. Bruno Enns officiating and Rev. Jacob Toews, minister of the church. The ministers are seated in front of the pulpit. Standing behind them are 5 women and 2 men. The women are Agnes Dahl, Mrs. Penn. Elizabeth Penner, Kätie Schulz, and Elizabeth Klassen. The women are wearing black dresses and the men suits with white shirts and tie.
