A small set of personal papers consisting primarily of the diaries of a Mennonite bishop in Illinois.  The diaries provide brief daily entries recording the weather, select activities of the day, and sometimes scripture passages.  Of note in the 1919 diary are records of Nice's trips to California and Virginia.  Also included are two photographs and a photocopy of the memorandum book of Morrison Mennonite Church (also known as Mennonite Brick Church or Red Brick Church) in Morrison, Illinois.  The memorandum book served primarily as a record of congregational finances.
