A small set of records created by an (old) Mennonite Church and later Mennonite Church USA congregation in Shipshewana, Indiana.   Records consist primarily of bulletins.

A 12 page autobiographical manuscript entitled "Recollections of a Mennonite Boyhood" that describes Slagel's childhood from 1930 to 1942 in Chicago and Topeka, Indiana.

Written narratives summarized from oral history interviews Pratt conducted with 13 Amish and Mennonite men regarding their experiences as conscientious objectors in World War II. These interviews were used in Pratt's dissertation, "A Study in Cultural Persistence: The Amish in LaGrange County, Indiana, 1841 - 1945" (Notre Dame, 1997).

Select papers pertaining to Thomas's service on the Goshen, Indiana City Council, Mennonite participation in Indiana local, regional, and state politics, and Thomas's work as executive secretary of the Mennonite Board of Congregational Ministries.  Includes photographs, oaths of office, campaign finance records, campaign strategy notes, and two educational DVDs, entitled "Mennonites and Political Power" (Parts I and II).  The collection also includes a DVD and outline of Thomas's Goshen College convocation address entitled "It Turns Out I'm Not a Pacifist" (January 2011).

The collection consists of two autobiographical accounts of Velma Yoder Bowman's life beginning in Topeka, Indiana.The accounts describe her early childhood experiences on the farm and her later family life.

The collection primarily includes materials and correspondence related to Rosemary Wyse Reimer's work with refugees in Northern Indiana, as well as correspondence with Mennonite World Conference.

These records consist of bulletins (1984-2008), church council and congregational minutes and supporting documentation (interfiled, 1978-2001), reports (1986-2001) and other miscellaneous records of a Hispanic Mennonite congregation in Goshen, Indiana.

Minutes, reports, newsletters, financial statements, and miscellaneous materials created by a Mennonite prison ministry that strove to plant churches in Indiana correctional facilities, represented the Mennonite Church to prison administrators, advocated for legislation to assist offenders and their families in Indiana and Michigan, promoted awareness of offender ministry within congregations, and assisted the families of offenders and those recently released from incarceration. Abe Peters and Al Wengerd served in ministry positions with the Mennonite Steering Committee on Corrections.

The papers include a photograph of Leonard and Verna Clemens, excerpts from his diary, and two personal memoirs in essay form :  "Mennonites in Michigan in 1900" and "Life in Goshen: The 1920s."

A small set of records about a non-profit organization associated with the Indiana Michigan Conference  that provided former prison inmates with housing, employment skills, and community reentry.  Materials include governing documents, board minutes, financial statements, publicity materials, and a number of miscellaneous records.  Researchers should note that these records contain materials about the related Path Foundation (New Carlisle, Ind.) and Abe Peters's prison ministry as well.

Personal papers of a Mennonite couple engaged in peace activism in Northern Indiana in the late 20th century.  Materials include records pertaining to the Sanctuary Movement in Elkhart County (particularly the participation of Hively Avenue Mennonite Church and Southside Fellowship), information about protests and civil disobedience organized by the Pledge of Resistance (South Bend, Ind.), correspondence to congressional representatives, and miscellaneous Mennonite peace theology materials.

Records documenting the annual food and crafts sale and auction in Goshen, Ind. held as a fundraiser for Mennonite Central Committee. These records are divided into three series:

A small set of personal papers documeting the Swartzendrubers' work with Mennonite and ecumenical outreach ministries to Hispanic / Mexican migrant workers in the Goshen, Indiana area. Materials include meeting minutes, newsletters, clippings, financial records, and subject files pertaining to the Spanish American Ministry of the Goshen Mennonite Churches, Migrant Service Committee, and Man to Man (La Casa).

Records include church council minutes, board of directors' minutes, annual reports, a photo directory, the dedication program, and other miscellaneous documents. Also included are several sound recordings of services in the late 1960s, sermons delivered at the North Leo Mennonite Church by George Brunk II in December 1968, and a performance by the Gospel Messengers quartet in October 1968.

Papers of a Mennonite women who began her career as a secretary in Mennonite organizations and transitioned into ministry in the 1970s and 1980s.  Fisher served on the pastoral team of College Mennonite Church (Goshen, Ind.) and as an overseer of Waterford Mennonite Church (Goshen, Ind.).  Her papers include correspondence, sermons and presentations, worship materials, photographs, audiotapes of sermons preached at College Mennonite Church, and miscellaneous materials.
