This is an artificial collection that includes notes and research from: Cornelius Krahn while researching 1969 Mennonite Life article; James C. Juhnke while researching People of Two Kingdoms; a letter in 1873 from ? to Bernhard Warkentin about Thiessen; documents on Abraham Thiessen collected by David G. Rempel (photostatic copies); and some notes sent by James Urry in 2015.

The Arnold Schultz papers are in a rather jumbled condition, but have been kept in their original order and with the original folder labels.  Some folders were unlabelled.  Others had only partially legible labels; these are marked with a (?).  A few folders contain material other than what is mentioned on the label.  The papers consist primarily of material on the history of the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren and on the family history of Arnold Schultz's ancestors.  The most significant part of the EMB material relates to the settlement and early church disputes of Henderson, Nebraska, and Mountain Lake, Minnesota.  There are a good number of original documents, including papers relating to the H. C. Bartel mission in China, the memoirs of Gerhard Klassen (born in Prussia and died in the United States), papers relating to Isaac Peters (an early leader at Henderson, Nebraska), and a set of "German documents from Culm" (probably relating to Schultz genealogy).

Collection consists of 3 ledgers. One dates 1891-1898. Another dates 1898-1902. The third dates 1898-1904. The handwriting in the latter two changes in 1901; the books seem to contain the handwriting of only two persons.

The Beatrice history book God's Love in Action (1978) pp. 42 mentions a grocery goods store started by William J. Penner and later sold to John Wiebe. Possibly these have some connection with that business.

Mostly correspondence among Goertzen relatives. Most of the letters were translated by Hilda Ediger Voth in the early 1990s. A few other items include a Hamilton County, Kansas, map and a folder of photos from Donovan and Helen Bachman (some identified). Additional (untranslated) letters and photos donated by Helen Bachman in Apr. 2013.

Correspondence between John M.T. Miller and his father, Moses D. Miller. John was born and raised in Holmes County, Ohio, and moved to Bloomington, Illinois, in 1869 with his wife Gerta (Troyer) Miller. In 1877, they moved to Seward County, Nebraska, where they purchased land and helped to establish the East Fairview Amish Mennonite Church.

Made up of sixteen letters, the collection includes details about land sales and prices and the activities of Amish Mennonites from Holmes County, Ohio, and elsewhere who sought to profit from the acquisition and sale of land in Nebraska.

The collection consists of a Joseph Schlegel family record.

The administrative records of Grace Children's Home, a home for children operated by the Mennonite Board of Missions to provide for the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of the young people placed into the custody of the home. The collection includes legal documents, minutes, reports, financial records, and correspondence.
