Group of baptism candidates? Includes 4 young women and 4 young men, but no identification for the photo. Negative also. The dress of the young women is of some interest.

Negatives only, 4. Three men and 2 women stand in front of a poster with the names of missionaries of the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church and the places where they served shown on a world map. The group were either missionaries meeting in Steinbach, Man. or at the 63rd convention in Omaha, Neb. The men might have been speakers at one of these meetings. See articles: CM 5-3-5 regarding the 2nd annual EMB Mission Conference and CM 5-24-1 & 7 regarding the Omaha meeting.

Used in CM 7-12-6 by the GCMC, B. of Christian Service to promote mission work. This series continues to 1998-14.266. The photo is used to illustrate Mennonite volunteers helping with cleanup after a disaster? Possibly a hurricane.
