Negative also. On the back of the photo is written "P.J. Dyck's homestead at Reesor, Ont. (Stayed for night here.)" indicating that Benjamin Ewert spent the night at the Dyck's home and took these photos (14.473&f.) at that time.
Men work to clear the land on a homestead at Reesor. A home-made winch (background, at right) is used to pull the stumps in swampy areas too soft for the horses.

"Eilber school at Reesor, Ont." is written on the back. The school house has 5 windows and a porch area attached to it. Further back from the road (to the right of the school house) is a building which looks like a home.
