Inter-Church Task Force on Northern Flooding, public meeting
Caption from the photo "Neither Manitoba Hydro nor the provincial government would call hearings to test public opinion on the Churchill-Nelson Rivers hydro-electric project - so an Inter-Church Task Force on Northern Flooding did. An appearance by provincial cabinet minister Sidney Green drew a full house. The seven-member panel heard over 50 briefs; many Native people came from the North to present their point of view. MCC (Canada) is a member of the ICTF.
