Collection of materials related to Guy O. Graber's experiences as a conscientious objector in World War I. This collection contains correspondence, a diary, and related materials including a draft notice.

A small set of records documenting relationships between the Women's Missionary and Service Commission and three other Mennonite women's groups:  Grupos Hispanos Femeniles del la Iglesia Menonita, Central Women's Organization of the Mennonite Church in India, and the Northwest Ohio Mennonite Business and Professional Women's Organization. Records consist primarily of correspondence, event programs, and a scrapbook.

Administrative records of an early domestic mission of the (old) Mennonite Church.  The Mennonite home for the aged was founded when David C. and Fanny Amstutz bequeathed their 160 acre farm and home to the Mennonite Evangelizing and Benevolent Board (later the Mennonite Board of Missions) in 1897 for the purpose of developing an old age home.  The first building, with a capacity of 34 beds, was dedicated in 1901 but was destroyed by a fire in 1919.  A second building was constructed in 1939, and the old age home operated until 1974.  With the exception of Aaron Peachy, administrators tended to serve short stints at the Mennonite Old Age Home.  J. D. Mininger and his wife, Hettie, managed the home from 1904 to 1909.  Aaron Peachy and his wife, Katie, served as administrators from 1939 to 1961. Materials in this collection document the early and final years of the Mennonite Home for the Aged.  The Home for the Aged initially was associated with the Mennonite Orphanage in Weilersville, Ohio.  As a result, the earliest records of the institution that became the Mennonite Orphan's Home (and later Adriel School, in West Liberty, Ohio) may be found among the records of the Mennonite Home for the Aged.  These inlcude minutes, reports, legal records, and financial records.  Other early records include governing documents, contracts for the care of the elderly, building records, superintendent correspondence, a record of visitors, and some resident records.

Later records include correspondence, information on contributions, inspection reports, insurance information, and a file on the sale of the property.  Researchers should note that there are very few records documenting the period between 1920 and 1960.

While these records include a handful of typical congregational records (primarily bulletins), the bulk of the collection consists of sound recordings and transcripts associated with the "Peace Stories Oral History Project" of 1990-1994.  The oral history project sought to document the experiences of conscientious objectors in the congregation and resulted in over 20 interviews. Other materials include administrative documents and publications associated with the oral history project.

Three and one-half years of church bulletins from a Mennonoite church that began as a Kidron Mennonite Church mission post and tent evangelism site.  Bulletins include schedules of worship, names of sorship leaders, and congregational announcements.

This set of records consists primarily of mid and late 20th century bulletins and newsletters documenting congregational life and worship.  Also included are two very early Sunday school record books (1859) a Bible conference program (1905), a centennial program (1962), a congregational history entitled "A Century and a Half with the Mennonites at Walnut Creek," and annual reports from 1984 to 1990 (1989 missing).

Congregational records of an (old) Mennonite Church / Mennonite Church USA congregation in the Ohio Mennonite Conference.  Records include late 19th and early 20th century financial records and Sunday school records, early to mid-twentieth century Young People's Bible Meeting and Women's Aid Society records, church bulletins, (1950-2005), congregational reports, and other miscellaneous records.

The records consist primarily of bulletins from the mid-century.  Researchers should be aware that there are many gaps in the run of bulletins possessed by the archives.  Additional records include sesquicentennial materials, early programs for events held at the church, and a 2011 testimony regarding the importance of the congregation to a former member of the congregation.

The scrapbook was made for Brenneman by members of the Central Mennonite Church, Elida Ohio, in the mid 1960s, when Brenneman was bed ridden due to illness at age 90.  Accompanying the scrapbook are scattered letters to, from, and about Brenneman, as well as an obituary and some newspaper clippings.

Includes the 1953 Phares D. and Magdalena Martin scrapbook of a trip across Illinois, Iowa, South and North Dakota, Minnesota, Colorado, and Kansas. The scrapbook documents their trip with various postcards, clippings, maps and photographs.  Also includes a folder of information about Phares Martin's work with the Eastern Ohio Division of Mennonite Disaster Service.

A small set of family papers consisting primarily of correspondence from Benjamin Byler Stoltzfus (a farmer in West Liberty, Ohio and preacher at the Lima Rescue Mission of the (old) Mennonite Church) and his children B. Frank Stoltzfus (documenting his studies at Goshen College and his Mennonite Central Committee service in Constantinople, Turkey in 1917), Will A. Stoltzfus (including letters from New York Biblical Seminary and Beiruit, Lebanon, where he engaged in education and mission work in 1920-1921), Lena Stoltzfus, and Eli Stoltzfus.  Also includes poetry written by his daughter Rosie Stoltzfus Byler.

Papers pertaining to a Mennonite conscientious objector's experiences during World War I.  Includes correspondence, empemera pertaining to conscientious objection, a transcript of Sommers's court martial proceedings, a parole pass, photographs, and other miscellaneous items.  Also includes a brief two page biography of Sommers written by Myron Sommers in 1992.
