A small collection of poems, sermons and devotional writings,and reminiscences authored by a Mennonite dairy farmer in the Wooster, Ohio area near the end of his life.  These papers provide a good example of lay spirituality in themid-century (old) Mennonite Church.  Mumaw wrote about a number of topics, including suicide, lending money, and leisure time.  His reminiscences include an account of his expoeriences as a conscientious objector in World War I.  Information about the Jonas Smucker homestead may also be found in these papers. This collection also includes materials by and about Mumaw's wife, Clara Zook Mumaw.  These include a poem, home remedies, miscellaneous writings, and genealogical information about the David S. Zook family.

Collection consists of a letter written by Peter Oswald to Christian Nafziger on December 20, 1874 requesting financial assistance to travel back to Ohio from New Orleans.

A small set of personal papers found in an old Mennonite home near Kolb Mennonite Church (Holmes County, Ohio) in 1940.  Materials include early congregational records (1838-1855),scattered correspondence, A Fraktur and a Fraktur fragment, genealogical records, and miscellaneous materials.

The collection consists of a letter dated March 27, 1924 written by R. R. Brenneman of Lima, Ohio to E. M. Detwiler of Columbiana, Ohio. The letter is written in response to a letter R. R. Brenneman received from E. M. Detwiler regarding a specific conflict within the conference.

A letter addressed to a friend dated June 21, 1872 by Otto Hasenclever of Maximo, Stark County in Ohio. The letter describes his interest in teaching German and notes serious weather that struck Logan County.

Correspondence between John M.T. Miller and his father, Moses D. Miller. John was born and raised in Holmes County, Ohio, and moved to Bloomington, Illinois, in 1869 with his wife Gerta (Troyer) Miller. In 1877, they moved to Seward County, Nebraska, where they purchased land and helped to establish the East Fairview Amish Mennonite Church.

Made up of sixteen letters, the collection includes details about land sales and prices and the activities of Amish Mennonites from Holmes County, Ohio, and elsewhere who sought to profit from the acquisition and sale of land in Nebraska.

A small, fragmentary collection of personal papers consisting of photographs, programs from various mission meetings and church programs in or near Elida, Ohio, a land deed between the Swartz and Snell families, and biographical information about Bishop Samuel Coffman.

Sermon notes and outlines created by a minister of the (old) Mennonite Church who served Bethel Mennonite Church in Wadsworth, Ohio.  Rohrer was ordained in 1917.

A small collection of miscellaneous materials created and collected by Jacob S. Moser, who apparently worked as a pharmacist in Orrville, Ohio.  Materials include two letters from Bendicht Spichti, a broadside telling of Solomon Herschi's suicide, an accound book, a record of patients treated [?], and notebooks and clippings contining recipes and information about various remedies.  Also includes a notebook containing records of garments knitted and sewed for others.

The collection is primarily in German, with some English notes.

A collection of papers including correspondence reflecting Wilmer's interest in local history, Mennonite Church history and Christian hymnology. He wrote many hymn texts which are included.

Twelve letters written by C. B. Steiner to his brother, Adam Steiner, of Morrison, Illinois.  C. B. Steiner, writing first from Orrville, Ohio, and later from Salem, Oregon, discusses the health of members of his congregation, his decision and preparations to begin pastoring in Oregon, and the state of his and his neighbors' farms and crops.  Letters are in German with English translations.

A small set of property records and church- and mission-related documents and correspondence created and collected by a pastor and  bishop of Crown Hill Mennonite Church (Rittman, Ohio) who donated land for the Rittman Home for the Aged.  Includes a letter to Christian Steiner dated 1829, as well as correxpondence from Menno Steiner (1905-1911).  Also includes marriage licenses, Crown Hill Mennonite Church reports, and membership letters.

Personal and pastoral papers of a pastor and bishop in the (old) Mennonite Church in Ohio.  Materials include sermons, correspondence, materials on the Canton Mennonite Mission and the Ohio and Eastern Mennonite Conference, and assorted clippings, certificates, and ephemera.
