Bontrager (1868-1958), an Amish minister and bishop born near Shipshewana, Indiana.  .  Materials include several biographical and autobiographical texts, a biography of John J. Mast, a journal kept by Friedrich Herring of Goshen, Indiana, and miscellaneous materials.

Christian Brandt Copybook

A copybook created by an Amish minister in Wayne County, Ohio.  Includes a letter to the reader of the copy book,  transcriptions of poetry found in Ermahnungen von Georg Jutzi... (1853), a sermon by Dek Nadel (Mennonite Minister in Amsterdam) based on Ephesians 2:10 and dated 1751, and a hymn.  Also includes Paton Yoder's transcriptions and translations of portions of the copybook.

Lewis S. Britsch Citation and Mennonite Disaster Service Clippings

Of most interest in this small set of personal papers is a citation issued to Britsch and to Mennonite Churches in Ohio and Indiana by the state of Michigan for their service to Michigan residents in the aftermath of the Flint / Genesee County tornado of June 1953.  Other materials in the collection are newspaper clippings about the work of Mennonite Disaster Service in the wake of the Flint tornado, Hurricane Bertha, and other natural disasters.

Brubacher Family Correspondence

Six letters in German script from members of the Brubacher family residing in Ontario and Pennsylvania.  Correspondents include Johannes and Susanna Brubacher, Jacob and Maria Brubacher, and Heinrich Brubacher.  ALl of the letters have either been transcribed or translated.  Among the letters are also several photocopied German hymns with translations into English.
