Included in this collection are the official minutes of the Mennonite Board of Missions Church Relations Committee, as well as Children's Caring Projects that consist of correspondence, mailings, teaching guides, pamphlets and posters.

Organizational records documenting a Mennonite mission agency's efforts to gather information from and organize reunions for former mission and voluntary service workers.  These records contain not only administrative information regarding the mission board's strategy to engage former missionaries and service workers, but also include summaries of oral history interviews with and somewritten reminiscences of former missionaries and service workers about their experiences.

Included are the minutes of the Mennonite Board of Missions Ad Hoc Committee, Aspen Program Committee, for 1981 and 1982. This committee met to review work of The Chapel of the Prince of Peace, a non-denominational chapel west of Aspen used for services, weddings and retreats.

This collection includes the correspondence, minutes, reports, and questionnaires of the Mennonite Board of Missions Ad Hoc Committee Elkhart Hospital Project. This committee investigated the possibility of creating a Mennonite hospital in Elkhart, Indiana in the 1940's.

This correspondence is arranged into two series:

A small set of records containing the Mennonite Relief Committee's official policies regarding dependent aid for the wives and children of Civilian Public Service (CPS) volunteers.  Other records include lists of CPS volunteers with dependents approved for dependent aid, a list of CPS volunteers receiving no allowance for dependents, and two dependency status reports from Ohio.

Records pertaining to Project 15a, a study of Mennonite mutual aid organizations,  Materials include correspondence, questionnaires, a directory of Mennonite mutual aid organizations, and a paper by Wilbert Shenk entitled " Mennonite Insurance and Mutual Aid Organizations."

Records pertaining to Project 13, Mennonite family censuses conducted in 1940 and 1949-1950.  Materials consist of reports written from the data and select data collected from the census.

Questionnaires from the family census were discarded.  Remaining are only typed cards organized by conference listing the names of the male head of household, occupation, age, and years of education.

Researchers will also find in this series the questionnaires from a related study of unmarried Mennonite women and a report written from the data collected. These surveys provide detailed quantitative and some qualitative data regarding the family, occupational, religious and social lives of single Mennonite women in 1956.

Questionnaires, working documents, and the final report of Project #14, a study of participation in Inter-School and Inter-Group athletics by members of Mennonite churches. Researchers should note that this questionnaire only gathered information on men's athletics, and that it only covers congregations affiliated with the (old) Mennonite Church. Questionnaires were filled out by pastors of Mennonite congregations rather than the athletes themselves.

Correspondence, data, and final report of a historical study of the role of deacons in the (old) Mennonite Church (Project #39) undertaken in 1958. The data collected for this project are district conference and general conference resolutions pertaining to the ministry of deacons from 1870 through 1950.
