A small set of personal papers documenting the work of this Mennonite missionary couple in India at the turn of the century.  The papers consist primarily of Jacob Burkhard's outgoing correspondence, but also include incoming correspondence to Jacob Burkhold, the memoirs and diary of Jacob Burkhard, letters and notes written by Mary Burkhard, scrapbooks of clippings regarding Mennonite missionary work in India, and Mary Burkhard's Bibles.

These records are divided into eight series:

A small set of collected materials pertaining to Daniel Brenneman and his forebears.  Includes clippings, family histories, fragmentary correspondence, scattered records from Brenneman Memorial United Missionary Church, and miscellaneous material.  Researchers should be aware that there are very few original documents in this collection.  Most 19th and early 20th century documents are photocopies.

Correspondence and subject files of the division of the Mennonite Board of Missions responsible for church planting and mission work in the United States and Canada.  Includes information about African American, Native American, and Latino / a ministries.

The collection consists of a letter written by Stephen T. Miller addressed to F. S. Miller.

Correspondence, subject files, and sermons of a bishop of the (old) Mennonite Church who served in Kalona and Iowa City, Iowa.  Much of the correspondence addresses selective service classification difficulties for Mennonites in Iowa and  Young People's Institute activities in Iowa.

These papers consist primarily of newspaper clippings, court records, and incoming correspondence pertaining to the 1982 conviction of Mennonite conscientious objector and Goshen college student Mark Arden Schmucker on charges of failing to register for the draft.

Researchers should note that this collection does not contain copies of all of the court records for Schmucker's case.  Rather, the court records in this collection are primarily briefs submitted to the court on Schmucker's behalf.

Records, consisting primarily of correspondence to and from Levi Mumaw, of a Mennonite denominational organization concerned with ministry to youth and the development of Mennonite youth organizations, such as literary societies.

The collection also contains programs of the committee's Young People's Conference / Young People's Institute, including correspondence about the event,  programs, and registration cards from the 1929 Institute.

This series contains meeting minutes, reports, and the correspondence and subject files of leaders committee leaders.

Records pertaining to the decision-making, finanical, and other administrative aspects of the research agency of the (old) Mennonite Church.  Materials include founding documents, publicity materials, meeting minutes, budgets, financial reports, newsletters and other publicity materials, and correspondence of the executive director and treasurer.

This small set of records consists primarily of completed questinonaires regarding Mennonite congregational contact with drafted Mennonite men (Mennonite Church in World War II, Project #3).  Also includes examples of pastoral letters sent to drafted men (a number of them from Waldo Mennonite Church (Flanigan, Ill.) and minutes and other records created by the Virginia Mennonite Conference CPS Support Team.

A small set of personal papers documeting the life of Ira C. Mast, a Mennonite carpenter and builder in Elkhart, Ind., and his ancestors in the Mast and Plank families.

The collection consists of letters written by Willard and Ann (Raber) Hunsberger from Guam to friends in the United States.  The Hunsbergers seem to have been engaged in missionary work, but they do not seem to have been serviing with the Mennonite Board of Missions.

The professional, pastoral, and personal papers of Nelson E. Kauffman, a long-time Mennonite church missionary and administrator, are divided into five series:

Photocopies of diaries and correspondence created during Yoder's period of service in post World War I France with the American Friends Service Committee.
