""that was our boat in Grand Rapids [1952-7 - supplied by our supporters in southern MB]. We took it to Loon Straits but it was not made for Lake Winnipeg. OK on the river at Grand Rapids." It was named “The Ambassador” as we used it to haul kids to Sunday school and sometimes adults to Bible study, or to take ourselves to such places. The name is in Cree Syllabics on the plate on the bow. It is here power by a 15 hp Evindrude. The original motor for the first few months we had it was a 1-3 hp Johnson put-put. In 1959-60 winter it was taken to Moose Lake Bible camp and we got a more lake-worthy boat."
