This item was received as a birthday greeting from a Lena Buhler. The picture shows a castle on the top of a hill with a rainbow over the castle and a river with a boat on it on the right. [German handwriting on back of postcard]

This is a photo of approx. 150 people posing outside beside a building. Gerhard Lohrenz is one of the people on the photo. He is in the second row, from the front, of adults, toward the right, behind a lady in a white hat.

Czar Cannon at the Kremlin in Moscow

This is a photo postcard of the Tsar Cannon on display on the grounds of the Moscow Kremlin. It is a monument of Russian artillery casting art, cast in bronze in 1586 in Moscow, by the Russian master bronze caster Andrey Chokhov. Mostly of symbolic impact, it was never used in a war. The postcard was sent by "David" (David Wiebe (1885-1937) to his family with message that he had examined it and been told that the bore was so large that it would fit 3 men lying in it. He wanted this card to be preserved.
