Mennonite Publishing House (Scottdale, Pa.) Payroll Records

  • US MCUSAA VI/09/005
  • Sammlung
  • 1908-1951

Records documenting hours worked and wages paid to Mennonite Publishing House office and printing staff.  The bulk of the records are weekly time books, documenting the hours employees worked and the wages they were paid.  Time books were used from the publishing house's founding in 1908 through January 1940.

A more modern payroll system was implemented in 1940.  The records from 1940 document hours worked and wages by employee name rather than by date.  There are some gaps in payroll records kept between 1940 and 1951.

Later payroll records were not permanently retained by Mennonite Publishing House.
