Personal papers of a radio evangelist and missionary affiliated with the (old) Mennonite Church.  Hostsetter's papers include sermons (circa 1970 - 1997), records of sermons preached and speaking engagements, documents pertaining to the Church of the Lord (Aladura) in Nigeria, photographs, and personal, professional, and pastoral correspondence.

Alma Slagel Eigsti Papers

Alma Slagel Eigsti "adopted" a Russian Mennonite refugee named Margareta Unruh through her Sunday school class at Waldo Mennonite Church in Illinois. Unruh and her family were forced to flee Russia in 1943, first staying in Holland and later immigrating to Paraguay. Eigsti and Unruh corresponded with each other from 1946-1981. In this collection are the letters that Eigsti received from Unruh. The letters describe Unruh's domestic life and her personal needs. There is also a small amount of correspondence from Tina Boschmann.

The La Junta Mennonite School of Nursing (La Junta, Colo.) Alumnae Association was founded in 1956.  The association not only helps nursing school classmates maintain a sense of community, but also supports nursing students at Mennonite colleges through scholarships.  Materials in this collection include governance and adminstrative documents of the association, the alumnea newsletter (1944-2008), scholarship fund correspondence and records, reunion materials, lists of graduates, class correspondence, photographs, alumnae studies, a scrapbook created from yearbooks, and miscellaneous materials.  Of particular note is a phonograph record of the class of 1946 singing its class song, "Onward and Upward."

Adella Brunk Kanagy Scrapbook and Photographs 1944-1947

This scrapbook thoroughly documents the academic and social aspects of Kanagy's nursing course at La Junta Mennonite School of Nursing.  Materials in the scrapbook include poems, photographs (labelled), diary entries, handbooks, church bulletins, cartoons, class schedules, party invitations, revival services, concert programs, and wedding invitations.

Also with the scrapbook are three class reunion photographs from 1992, 1994, and 1998.

Oscar R. Miller Photographs and Booklet

Materials created by a conscientious objector and Civilian Public Service worker during World War II.  The collection consists of 132 black and white negatives depicting various Civilian Public Service camps and miscellaneous scenes from Miller's travels, and 1 color print of Sidling Hill Civilian Public Service Camp in Pennsylvania.  Also includes a booklet entitled On Sequoia Trails, which depicts live at Civilian Public Service Camp #107 in Three Rivers, California.
