Personal papers of early Mennonite mission workers in India.  Materials are divided into five series:

Consists of Classen's diary or journal 1894-1897 (photocopy) and an English translation. (see also elecrec/acc2 for electronic version of the translation)

The materials in this fonds consists of 17 small handwritten diaries of a well-to-do Mennonite industrialist who lived in the Fürstenland colony, south Russia and became destitute and had to flee to Canada after the Second World War. The entries are short but talk about his immediate surroundings and activities of the day.

The collection consists of a translation of Hutterite Jacob S. Waldner's World War I diary documenting his experience as a Conscientious Objector.

Wall's diary 1824-1860 of events in his region. Also a listing of births, deaths, etc. mentioned in the diary, compiled by Glenn Penner. The title "Record Book of the Chortitza Mennonite Settlement 1824-1860" also seems to have been used for this document, although it isn't really an accurate description.

Diary 1897-1899, both original and transcription by Ray Regier.

In 1993 Ray Regier had plans to bring more papers in, but that didn't happen.

Diary begun in 1839 and continued by descendants.

Photocopy of a typed transcript of the German-language diary of an Old Order Amish man in Middlebury, Indiana.  The author also went buy the name "Hansi Borntrager."  Entries are generally one sentence long, and the the diary documents only the "most important and most unusual events."
