The purpose of the Great Lakes Bible Conference was to provide an opportunity for participating groups that included the Brethren in Christ, the Central District of the General Conference Mennonite Church, the Evangelical Mennonite Church, the Illinois, Indiana-Michigan and Ohio Conferences of the Mennonite Church, and the Missionary Church, to study the Bible together.
