This series contains records created or collected by MCC Canada’s Peace and Social Concerns program, dating from 1971 to 2007. The records within the series include program and project records, records of the MCC Peace Section and Ottawa Office, publications and research material, correspondence, meeting minutes, and financial and administrative records of the program. Some of the Peace and Social Concerns Program initiatives documented in this series include Project Ploughshares, Project Peacemakers, Peace Sunday, the Congregational Peace Education Program, Peace Research Institute, Christian Peacemaker Teams, One Thousand Faces Peace Project, Church and Corporate Responsibility Task Force, the Jubilee Initiative, the Task Force on Women, Tax Task Force, Socio-Economic Task Force, Committee on Justice and Liberty, early Offender Ministries program, and related provincial MCC programs.

This series contains records created by MCC Canada’s Restorative Justice program, dating from 1976 to 1997. The records within the series include records of program projects and initiatives including M2/W2, National Victims Program, capital punishment, work relating to prisons. Also included are records relating to provincial MCCs and the Ottawa Office, publications and research material, audio-visual material, chaplain records, and conference and seminar records.

This series contains records created by MCC Canada’s Victims’ Voice program, dating from 1998 to 2007. The records within the series include administrative reports, logos, procedures, meeting minutes, Pathway Advisory Committee minutes, Aboriginal Healing Foundation records, Victims Companion records, Victim Offender Ministries records, and publications and research material.

This series contains records created or collected by MCC Canada’s Women’s Concerns program, dating from 1982 to 2007.The records within the series include Committee on Women’s Concerns minutes (both Canada and Binational), task force records (Domestic Violence Task Force, Women’s Task Force, Sexual Abuse Response Team), correspondence, publications and research materials, financial and administrative records, program and project records (Childbearing Project, Voices for Non-Violence, Women’s Missionary and Service Commission), reports, and educational resources.

The records within the series include the records of MCC voluntary service programs and projects across Canada, recruitment records, records relating to Indigenous communities and reserves, correspondence, reports, Peace and Social Concerns Committee records, MCC U.S. Peace Section records, records relating to provincial MCC’s, meeting minutes, publications and research material, audio-visual records, financial and administrative records, and records relating to SALT, SOOP, Summer Service, Local Voluntary Service programs, Summerbridge, and other Short-Term Service Opportunities.

This series also includes one sub-series; the Summer Service sub-series includes the records of the MCC Voluntary Service Summer Service Program in Canada from 1957 – 1969.

Latin America Mennonite Immigration to Paraguay 1929-1969: Correspondence, research data, minutes, MoU, economic development committee, maps, hospital building and road plans, etc.

This series includes photographs of people and events associated with Petitcodiac Mennonite Church.

Files include records of MCC work from 1920 to 1935. Sub-series include Levi Mumaw's correspondence (Executive Secretary 1920-1935), immigration files of the first 62 refugees assisted by MCC, records of the material aid and efforts to assist refugees in Constantinople (present Istanbul, Turkey).

Maxwell H. Kratz was one of three men elected to the first Mennonite Central Committee on 27 September 1920. He was active in the leadership of MCC during its first projects of Russian relief, the purchase of land in Paraguay, and its incorporation. IX-02 includes Maxwell H. Kratz's MCC correspondence 1921-1934 related to 62 Russian refugees immigrating to the U.S. from Constantinople (present Istanbul, Turkey) and refugee immigration to Paraguay.

Slides in this series are from Summer Service program units in London, Ontario, Bethesda (Vineland, Ontario), Newfoundland, Portage La Prairie, Brandon, Clearwater Lake, Ninette, Manitoba, South America. Of the 240 slides in this file, only those pertaining to Clearwater Lake have been uploaded to the Mennonite Archival Image Database thus far.

The series consists of photograph prints and negatives received by "The Canadian Mennonite" from various sources for use in its publication. Photographs were taken by staff, or sent in by individuals or families. Some photographs were requisitioned from news agencies. Not all photographs received by the newspaper were printed. However, many were still retained. Photographs in the collection document family celebrations, congregational and conference events, Mennonites at work and at voluntary service and mission efforts, travel, and world affairs. Where possible, the year, issue number and page location of a published photograph is included in the description of each individual photo.
