This photo is of a group of church leaders at the 1948 St. Catharines Canadian Conference. These include H.P. Neufeld, Frank C. Thiessen, B.B. Janz, H.H. Janzen, J.J. Siemens, A.H. Unruh, Abram Block, John A. Harder, Nick Boschmann and 2 other unidentified men.
A 17.5 x 12 cm copy of the photo is also present.

Mennonite Brethren Publishing House

Curb view of the Mennonite Brethren Publishing House in McPherson, Kansas (ca. 1908). In 1906, the print shop had moved to McPherson from Medford. In 1913, the print shop moved again, this time to Hillsboro, where it remained until it was sold in 1980. See page 83 in For Everything a Season.

Early spring in Manitoba

A photo of the Voth and Klassen mothers and families, sitting outside in the yard of a farm house in Rivers, Manitoba. During the first years, these newly immigrated families worked as hired labour for various farmers in the area of Rivers and Marquette. Identified on the photo are (front, l-r): Elfrieda Klassen with Holdina, Katja Klassen with Nora, Agatha Klassen with Elvira, Grandmother Klassen, Tina Voth with Herta at knew and Walter at back; (back, l-r): Nick, Justina Klassen. Susie Voth trying to escape the camera because she was still wearing her big apron.

Commemorative stone at Waldheim

This photo is of a stone monument with the Russian and English inscription "It is placed to commemorate the 170th anniversary of the founding of the colony of Waldheim by a group of Mennonites from Volhynia, originally from Prussia, headed by K. Wedel in 1836. Surrounding the monument is a stone pad and trees, walk way, flowers, and fence. [Editors Note: the location is likley Waldheim village in the Molotschna colony (CS)]

Young Adults Sunday School Class - Monterey Mennonite Church, Leola, PA

This photo is of the Young Adults Sunday School Class of the Monterey Mennonite Church in Leola, Pennsylvania. This class worked together to peel, slice, dip in batter, and fry five bushels of apples to make apple fritters for the Tri-County Relief Sale. Left to right are: Harold Rohrer, teacher; Luella Yoder; Elaine Moyer; and Ken Handrich.
