This is a photograph of the four Pries siblings sitting on a bench in front of a tall hedge. The young men are wearing suits and the women are dressed for summer. Katharina is holding a clutch purse. Maria has short white socks. Her dress has a black ribbon tied on the left shoulder of her sleeveless dress.
L to R they are Gerhard Priess (1898-1935, Katharina Priess Priess (1903-1981), Peter Gerhard Priess (1908-1978) and Maria Priess Glasner (1911-1987).

This is a group photograph of twenty-nine people. Women are seated in the front two rows and men are standing in the back two rows. In the centre there is a small table. It could be a choir. Many are holding books, some are open. All men except for the tallest in the back row have mustaches. All are well dressed.

This is a very small photograph of a family group on the steps at the entrance to a Soviet train car. There appears to be laundry hanging and drying on either side of the doorway. Heinrich B Janz is standing in the entrance holding an open book. His right arm is up with the index finger pointing as if to make an point. Below him in a light coloured dress is his second wife, Eva Janz (Willms). To her right is their daughter-in-law, Anna Janz (Janzen) with a white kerchief around her hair. The boys in dark clothing with caps are Anna's sons Gerhard (far left) later known as George and Johann, later known as John. The infant in front is unknown.

Gerhard has a cap and warm jacket on. Written on the back in German is Fall 1969.

This photograph dated May 1933 and taken in Russia is of a group of people in a garden with trees and a tall fence behind them. They may be family members or friends. The names listed on the back give no surnames. They are in the back L>R Gerhard, myself (unknown female), Willy. Seated on chair and bench L>R are Heinrich, Margaret, Anna, Katja, Tina, Marichen. On the ground L>R are Leonard and Gerhard. Tina wearing white socks and shoes is Katharina Priess (Janzen) 1910-1991. Gerhard in the front is her husband Gerhard Priess 1903-1981

This photograph is of four women dressed for winter. They are wearing heavy three quarter length jackets with matching skirts, gloves, hats and stoles.. The three seated women are wearing fur hats that could be sable. The three on the left have long stoles over their shoulders. The woman standing has a matching Persian lamb hat and muff. The woman seated at the far right has a long necklace around her collar. The women are L to R Margaretha Janzen seated separately, unknown standing, Anna Janzen and Anna Priess seated on the bench.

This photograph is of three siblings Rudi, Gredl and Hansi Janzen. Margaret or Gredl is wearing a light coloured dress with a white collar. She has a dark ribbon in her fair hair. She is holding fake flowers. Johann or Hansi is sitting on a cushion. He is wearing stockings that go above the knee to his short pants. He is holding a toy wooden horse. Rudolf or Rudi is holding on to the sides of the chair he is sitting in. He is wearing buttoned boots. Hansi's boots are tied. There are two lines of Russian impressed onto the photo in the bottom right corner.

This is a very small photograph of a group of people standing outside of boxcars on a railway. They are presumably on their way out of Russia in 1924. On the boxcar you can see the Russian USSR and hammer and sickle symbol. This photograph is similar to Item 100 and may contain some of the same people. The people are plainly dressed, the women's dresses are long.

This is a photograph of six young men. They are staggered from shortest to tallest, L>R. All are wearing suits and ties. Johann (John) Janz is the third from the right wearing a dark tie. The rest of the names are unknown. All except the tallest on the right have a mustache. The man second from the left has spectacles. The bottom of the photograph is white as if developed improperly.

This is a photograph of a group of people on a sailboat. There is a man standing in the back with a sailor's cap holding a pipe. There is a young girl in the centre also with a cap, wrapped in a large coat. The woman is wearing a light coloured heavy-knit sweater and a black scarf and a light coloured tam. The reverse of the photograph lists the young man without the cap as "Franz", the man with the pipe as "my brother in law", man standing wearing a knitted tam as "cousin of my Hans", the girl in the centre as "Hanna-Mara", the man bottom left as "my husband" and the woman as Maria. Hans and Maria are possibly the same couple pictured in Item 116.

This is a formal portrait of five gentlemen., two are standing and three are seated. All are well-dressed in three piece suits with ties; two of which are bow ties. Four of the five men have the same pin on their left lapel, possibly denoting an affiliation of some sort; only the man on the far right does not have this pin. The names from L>R are Heinrich Janz, his brother Johann H Janz (1890-1973), unknown, Jacob D Schultz (1886-1942), and unknown Unger.
