Personal papers of a lifelong peace activist from the Mennonite / Anabaptist tradition.  Materials include journals, personal and professional correspondence, reports and articles associated with his work for International Voluntary Services (IVS) and Christian Peacemaker Teams (CPT), lectures and speeches, photographs, and remembrance books compiled after his death.  These papers also include Synapses: Messages, newsletters of a grass-roots human rights and spirituality organization based in Chicago in the 1980s and 1990s.

This collection includes the correspondence, minutes, reports, and questionnaires of the Mennonite Board of Missions Ad Hoc Committee Elkhart Hospital Project. This committee investigated the possibility of creating a Mennonite hospital in Elkhart, Indiana in the 1940's.

Records of the African American constituency group of the (old) Mennonite Church. Emerging from the Minority Ministries Council, the African American Mennonite Association began its orginizational life as the Black Council or Black Caucus.  In the early 1980s the name was changed to the African American Mennonite Association (AAMA).  The AAMA strove to support black and racially integrated congregations in the (old) Mennonite Church through annual assemblies and programming, leadership training, educational opportunites, and congregational economic development.

Records documenting the last 40 years of the administration, production, and distribution of the (old) Mennonite Church's denominational magazine.  Materials consist of editor's correspondence (readers' correspondence to the editor as well as interoffice correspondence) and subscription records.  The Gospel Herald was published from 1908 to 1999, when it merged with The Mennonite under the latter periodical's title.

Correspondence files of two presidents of the Women's Missionary and Service Commission (WMSC):  Lina Ressler (1929-1938) and Minnie Graber (1951-1959).  Ressler's correspondence comprises only one folder of this set of records.  The remaining materials pertain to the presidency of Minnie Graber. Most correpondence appears to be among various WMSC executive committee members.

Correspondence and subject files of the lead staff person for the Women's Missionary and Service Commission (WMSC).  These files primarily document the tenure of Beulah Kauffman (1966-1978), but also include documentation from other executive secretaries, including Florence Shantz (1956-1958), Doris Snyder (1958-1959), Dorothy McCammon (1960-1966) and Barbara Reber (1979-1986).  Researchers will find that materials in these records provide information about both the WMSC's activities and the WMSC's relationships to other Mennonite organizations.

Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary Evelyn Shellenberger Files on John Howard Yoder
