Assembly Records

The Mennonite World Conference assemblies bring together Mennonites every six years to explore the history and future of Mennonite Anabaptism and to be in community with one another. While the earliest assemblies were attended primarily by Mennonites living near the host city, modern assemblies are attended by thousands of Mennonites worldwide. The records of the earliest assemblies consist only of the proceedings. Beginning with the 1948 assembly, there are also materials documenting the planning, organization, and publicizing of the assemblies, as well as more thorough records of activities and attandance at the assembly. For some assemblies, sound recordings and films accompany the paper records.

Articles, Manuscripts, and Sermons

A prolific writer, Lapp left behind a number of unpublished manuscripts and sermons, as well as draft copies of published works. Much of his writing deals with mission work and India. Sermon texts, notes, and outlines are also included in this series.

Articles, Addresses, and Sermons

Written and spoken texts produced by Ernest E. Miller. Includes both published and unpublished articles, but researchers should not assume that this series includes all of Ernest E. Miller's published works. Additionally, researchers can expect to find some interplay among these three categories. Scattered sermons, for example, may be interfiled with addresses or articles.

Articles and Speeches

Typed and handwritten manuscripts and notes.  Also includes photocopies of chapters from a 1982 book by Venora Weaver Salzman that discuss Slagel and miscellaneous items.

Articles and research materials

The material in this series consists of articles and photocopied sections of books relating to the research of For Everything a Season. Topics of research include aspects of Russian and Soviet education, history and data of the Mennonite education system in Russia and the relationships between Russian and Mennonite authorities.
