Family Tape Project (2023)

During the years between 1988 - 1997, Atlee and Winifred Beechy’s daughter Karen B. Kreider tape recorded interviews with this remarkable pair of peacemakers, educators, international diplomats and parents of three children - Karen, Judith and Susan. Beginning in 2020, these cassette tapes were sent to commercial transcription services (rev.com and scribie.com) and converted to a digital, electronic form which could be further edited. Susan’s tireless dedication to editing these transcripts resulted in her 70 page book, Atlee and Winifred Beechy Remember: Interviews from the Tape Project, in which there are many illustrative photographs.
