Research, Publications, and Presentations

This series consists primarily of the products of Mumaw's scholarly and academic work. Also included are presentations made in the context of professional service and worship. The series is divided into three chronological eras: 1954-1974, 1975-1986, and 1987-2003. Including both published and unpublished materials, the contents of this series is indexed by Mumaw's curricula vitae, which are filed at the front of Box 3. Although the series is not a complete collection of Mumaw's work, it is quite extensive.

Correspondence

Incoming and outgoing professional correspondence arranged chronologically. Correspondence from the late 1950s includes discussions with non-Mennonite pastors who argued that racial segregation was Biblically mandated.

Miscellaneous

Includes biographical information about Le Roy Bechler, church growth diagnostic studies written in the 1980s, and information on the Black Mennonite History Project of the early 1990s. Also included is Bechler's autobiography, "Answering the Call: Telling the Story."
