The richest materials in this series are the letters exchanged between the Brunks during J. E. Brunk's voluntary service in the Near East following World War I. They document both the early relief work of Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) and Alice Brunk's home life. Also included is Alice Brunk's correspondence with family during the Brunks' sojourn in Puerto Rico as MCC volunteers in the mid 1940s. Other materials found in this series are the Brunks' courtship letters and miscellaneous family correspondence among the Brunks and Yoders.
Includes photographs of relief work in the Near East under the nascent Mennonite Central Committee (MCC), of travels in the Near East, of Goshen College, and of family.
