The richest documentation in this small collection consists of a handwritten history of the Alumni Association of Goshen College and Elkhart Institute (1908), in which she provides statistics about the alumni and profiles a number of graduates.  Also included in the collection are a number of programs and ephemera from Goshen College commencement ceremonies and local Mennonite church events.

These records document the college's relationship with the Mennonite Board of Education and the other schools directed by the Mennonite Board of Education:  Hesston College and Eastern Mennonite University.  Materials include correspondence, reports, and meeting minutes and other records documenting collaboration and conflict among Mennonite institutions of higher learning.

This collection includes an article written by Jacob Brubaker Smith as an appeal to the Mennonite Board of Education regarding Goshen College, dated February 19, 1931, along with some early Goshen College theater photographs. In addition, the collection a couple of later letters by Jacob Brubaker Smith.

Two scrapbooks documenting Hostetler's experiences as a student at Goshen College Academy (1926-1930) and Goshen College (1930-1934).  The scrapbooks contain photographs, invitations, notes and letters from friends, and ephemera.

A scrapbook of correspondence from former students presented to Verna Zimmerman, associate professor of nursing at Goshen College, on the occasion of her retirement.  Zimmerman served the college from 1952 to 1975.
