A session of the 34th General Conference Mennonite Church triennial conference.

Negative for photo & 2 additional ones. Photo used in CM 4-33-6. A session of the GCMC 34th conf. held in the Young United Church, Wpg. Man. I.I. Friesen speaking with other board members seated behind him? Also, 4 men at tables on the stage writing. A large 23 foot mural depicting the theme of the conf. "Receive Power …Be Witnesses" prepared by Robert Regier to depict the world wide program of thechurch is in the center of the photo. (The neg. also shows a flag at the right). One additional neg. shows the mural closer up & no people. Third neg. shows a simpler form of the mural with the theme beside a world map in a smaller auditorium.

Baptismal group from Bethel Mission church

This photo is of the 1945 baptismal group from the Bethel Mission church (later Bethel Mennonite church), Winnipeg Sargent and Sherbrook. There are about 20 young people are standing on the front steps with 2 older men with them. The older men from left to right are Benjamin Ewert and I.I. Friesen. See MH XIV, #4 (December 1988, p.8).
