Peter Froese, J. J. Thiessen

This is a photo of Peter Froese, who for a number of years, was one of the spokesman of the Mennonites before the Soviet Government. He was eventually imprisoned and then sent into exile. There he spend many difficult years. He was able to escape during the last war and reached Germany. Elder J.J. Thiessen sits at his bedside. [HR 174]
