This photo is of the building at 964 Vilardebo, Montevideo, Uruguay. In the 1952, a German speaking Mennonite Church, called the Montevideo Mennonite Church (General Conference) occupied the building; later on it was purchased by the Mennonite Central Committee (see "Montevideo" in the Mennonite Encyclopedia).

Ramon, a boy with leprosy, stands outside by a folding seat and a bed of flowers. Paraguay. He wears sunglasses and is staying at a guest house for leprosy patients, likely at Kilometer 81 Leprosy Mission. 1959 label: “Ramon, a homeless child with leprosy also found a haven in our guest house. The dark glasses, a gift, are his pride and joy.”
