A ledger book of sermons written by a minister and bishop of Partridge Mennonite Church (Metamora, Ill.). Contains six funeral sermons, a sermons about marriage, a sermon about baptism, and a number of sermons on specific scriptures. Scattered diary entries may also be found in the ledger book. The collection includes a preservation photocopy of the ledger book, a German transcription, and an English translation of the sermons. Also includes an undated manuscript assumed to be Esch's.

Collection includes a documented sermon by former Reverend and Pastor Harold Zehr for the East Bend Mennonite Church in Fisher, Illinois. At this time of this sermon, the East Bend congregation was navigating a painful split (between the years 1951-1952).

The collection consists primarily of correspondence concerning "A Crisis Among Mennonites: in Education: in Publication" by George R. Brunk II (1983), political and social issues, and his work with Goshen College and the Mennonite Board of Congregational Ministries. Also included in the collection is a diary of his experiences in 2008 as Interim Lead Pastor at First Mennonite Church in Berne, Ind. and sound recordings of a six sermon series preached at College Mennonite Church (Goshen, Ind.) in 1986.
