This series contains approximately seventy-five published booklets and pamphlets that deal with a wide range of Mennonite activity in Canada (and to a lesser extent in the United States and Russia) during the period from 1874-1950. Some of the items cover topics such as Contentious Objector status, Sommerfeld church private schools, catechisms, song books, Brandordnung, church membership questions, and Krimmer Mennonites. Some of the institutions covered include Mennonite Mutual Aid, Mennonite Educational Institute (Altona), and the Sommerfeld Waisenamt (a church mutual aid and trust fund institution). A few of the items are dated after D.W. Friesen died, indicating someone else added to this collection before it was donated to the archives. Some of the items are undated.
