Bible School at Schoenwieser Mennonite Church (Winnipeg)

This photograph shows a group of women and 3 men standing on entrance steps to Zion's Kirche, corner of Alexander Avenue and Ellen Street, Winnipeg, MB, later Schoenwieser Church (First Mennonite). The women are probably all from the Eben Ezer Maedchenheim, Winnipeg. It is the Bible School Class of 1934-35. See also Dem Herrn die Ehre, p.91. Similar picture is filed under 629 F-14

Cornelius Rempel family

Cornelius Rempel b. 29 Jan 1866 (son of Johann Rempel b. 15 April 1830) is shown with his wife Katharina (nee Katharina Friesen) and two children -- son Jacob and daughter Tina (Mrs. Wm. Heinrichs). Cornelius is wearing a dark 3-piece suit and a checked shirt. Mrs. Rempel is wearing a dark dress and a lacy cap (Haube) tied in a bow. The children are wearing dark dresses with lacy white collars.
