Agatha Stoesz Memoir

This series consists of a copy of a memoir by Agatha Stoesz (1870-1952). She is the daughter of Jacob Kehler and Katharina Penner. On Dec 30, 1890, she married David M. Stoesz and together they had three sons and one daughter.

Bishop David Stoesz papers

This series contains a dairy by David Stoesz (1842-1903), correspondence several sermons, a wedding invitation from the Bergthal Colony, an early school organization record, handwritten book of hymn melodies, and a few books. Of special interest is a book bought by David Stoesz in 1861, published in 1834, originally written by Menno Simons and published in 1575.

This fonds consists of four series. They include:

The content consists of sermons and diaries. Other materials include correspondence and church items. Some of the material has been microfilmed. See Microfilm # 91. The material gives insight to the understanding of Mennonite church and community life during the early years in Manitoba.

Jacob W. Stoesz papers

This series includes correspondence including from Jakob Dueck to Jacob Stoesz (1872–1939) in regards of Dueck's Waisenamt debt. Also included are tax records, school scribblers, conscientious objector certificate, and other documents of Jacob Stoesz. There are also some documents of his son, Jacob R. Stoesz (1911 -1980 ).

This series includes sermons written and preached by David M. Stoesz (1870-1934), wedding and funeral invitations, correspondence from Manitoba, Mexico, Texas, Minnesota, Brazil, and lists of baptisms performed and church meeting places.
