This photo is of the house at 608 Mountain Avenue in which the Mary Martha Home began. The C.N. Hieberts, city missionaries, lived in the house along with Anna J. Thiessen. Beginning in the fall of 1925 young immigrant women began moving into the house with them. The Mary Martha Home was established here and the women stayed until a move to a different home on Boyd Avenue in August 1928.
