29th Canadian Conference - Winnipeg, MB - July 1938

This is a photo of the delegates and their families taken during the summer convention of the Northern District of the General Conference of the Mennonite Brethren Church of North America (later called the Canadian Conference of MB Churches). The photo was probably taken after the Sunday morning worship service, which appears to have taken place in the Roller Rink in downtown Winnipeg.

This photo shows the delegates posing for a group picture outside a tent at the "last" session of the General Conference of Mennonite Brethren Church in North America held in Wichita, Kansas, July 8-10, 1999. The next convention in 2001 (Abbotsford) celebrated the achievement of the "General Conference" and launched the "divested" version as USMB and CCMBC.

Canadian Conference - Virgil, ON

This is a photo of a gathering at the 1954 Canadian Mennonite Brethren Conference held at Virgil, Ontario. The general church services were held in nearby St. Catharines. Attendees are seated in a hockey arena. A large choir in white shirts and blouses sits in the bleachers near the small stage on which a number of people are seated. The photo has been taken from the back of the arena facing the stage.

This is a photograph taken at the General Conference of the North American Mennonite Brethren Churches held in Yarrow, B.C. The photo is taken from the platform, showing the backs of several individuals and faces a completely full church sanctuary. Almost all present are male save for a few women in the balcony and in the back rows of the main floor.The church is large, white and completely unadorned.
