Peter Funk (1833) and Maria Krahn (1835) descendants

Three generations of Helena Funk , daughter of Peter Funk and Maria Krahn and John Braun family. Helena Funk was born 7 Jul 1857, died 5 June 1931. John Braun was born 1 Jan 1858 in Bergthal Colony, died 18 Aug 1941. John Braun built a mill in Altona, which burned down right after completion, he immediately built the second one.

Five generations of Jakob and Maria (Buhr) Peters family. Jakob father was Jakob Peters, the delegate married 1834 to Elisabeth Friesen b. 1814.

Cornelius Warkentin, 1866 and Mary Braun, 1870 descendants

Four generations of Cornelius and Mary (Braun) Warkentin Family. Cornelius immigrated to Canada and married Mary Braun. They had 9 children. Cornelius was only 35 years old when he died. Mrs. Warketin later married Frank Loewen. Her third husband was Peter Buhr.

Jacob and Helena Warkentin descendants

Five generations of Jacob and Helena Warkentin family. They lived in Niederchortitza, Russia. Their son Johann b. 1859 came to Canada in 1879. He was deeply interested in education and in the church. In 1895 he was ordained into the ministry in the M.B. Church in Winkler.

Five generations of the Jacob Wiebe family. Jacob came from the Old Colony in Russia and settled in the Barkfield area. He was a teacher as well as a farmer. Their daughter Susanna married Jacob W. Reimer, a storekeeper in Steinbach.

Reimer and Maria Plett. John and Maria farmed in Blumenort, East Reserve. Their son John R. Unger was the well-known barber and jeweller in Steinbach.
