Dam Construction: Constructing Dam

In this photograph several conscientious objectors are busy building the dam. They are at Whirlpool Lake, two and a half miles north of Camp 1 (based in Wasagaming), near Clear Lake in Riding Mountain National Park, Manitoba. Ed Brooks, camp boss stands leaning on the dam and looking down.

Recreation: Drinking Spring Water

In this photo a group of six conscientious objectors standing in front of a small building that bears the sign "Spring water". The spring water they are drinking from glass bottles comes from Clear Spring Bog, west of Whirlpool Lake. The men are wearing nice clothes. This photograph was taken in Riding Mountain National Park.
