Dam Construction: Building Up Dam

The conscientious objectors in this photo are building the base of the dam at Whirlpool Lake out of logs. This photograph was taken at Whirlpool Lake, two and a half miles north of Camp 1, near Clear Lake in Riding Mountain National Park, Manitoba.

Recreation: C.O.'s Silly Dress-Up

In this photograph five men are informally posed in front of a National Forestry Programme tent. They are dressed in a silly manner, with pant legs rolled up and jackets on backwards. As listed on the photo, the men are (left to right) Elvan Dyck, J. Huebner, J. Klassen, and J. Wall. The man sitting on J. Klassen's shoulders does not have a name listed on the photograph. This photo was taken at the C.O. Camp in Clear Lake.
