This fonds consists of 22 stereoscopic photographs depicting different landscapes and places of Southern Russia in the early 20th century. Many of the images are of the Mennonite village of Einlage some 20 years before the village was flooded in 1927 with the buiding of the hydro electric dam. The textual records contain poetry written by Gerhard G. Loewen in the final years of his life. The poetry is a mixture of reflections on his immigration to Canada as well as songs that were written for family gatherings and weddings.
